    You will be stepping back in time when you visit the Jameson Experience. The distillery dates back to the 18th century and while it’s still a working distillery, with thousands of casks housing ageing whiskey, there are tours and tastings daily throughout the year. The company provides tours around the distillery, and for those of you who are of a particular age, you can enjoy a complimentary whiskey at the end of the tour.

    The Jameson Distillery is located around 23km from Cork city in Midleton, East Cork. From April to October, the distillery provides a shuttle service from the city centre twice daily.

    Midleton

    Midleton or in its native Irish, Mainistir na Corann – meaning monastery at the weir – is one of the main business towns in East Cork. It is only a short 30 minute drive from Cork City. This rustic town is home to the Jameson Whiskey Distillery – which was established over 40 years ago – it is a main tourist attraction in the Midleton area.

    As well as that, you can enjoy a walk around the Fota Wildlife Park, one of the leading tourism, wildlife and conservation attractions in Ireland. Nature lovers will thoroughly enjoy this lovely town.
