Family Rooms designed with you in mind
We know how important a good night’s sleep is for all the family. All our family rooms are located on the ground and lower ground floors for your convenience. Our spacious rooms consist of double and single beds, sleeping up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 3 children under the age of 12. For larger family groups, we also offer interconnecting rooms for families of up to 2 adults and 4 children.

We have an array of dining options for you and the family to choose from during your stay with us. Our Vitality Breakfast has everything a family needs to start the day right from a hearty Irish Breakfast, Continental offerings, and gluten-free options.
If you’re looking to grab a quick snack, coffee or a yummy hot chocolate for the little ones, drop by our Red Bean Roastery Coffee dock, or treat the family to luxurious afternoon tea when you return to our family hotel after a busy day of sightseeing.
In the evening dine at our Grandstand Restaurant, offering local seasonal dishes with a kids menus to tempt even the littlest of taste buds.
Things to do in Dublin for all the family
Looking for something to do with the kids on a rainy day during your family break in Dublin? Why not take them and show them the treasures of ancient Egypt or Irelands long and interesting history. Take them to the National History Museum. Maybe your kids like understanding the world a little more take them to the exciting Science Gallery. If Vikings are your thing you won’t want to miss the interactive experience at Dublinia.
Only a 15-minute train ride from Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge is the seaside town of Dún Laoghaire, where you will find the famous Teddy’s Ice Cream which locals love any time of the year. Buy the whole family a 99 and take a stroll down the pier taking in the beautiful views of Howth Head and the marina. There is a great playground for the kids to play around in too in the famous Peoples Park! The Peoples Park also hosts a beautiful farmers market every Sunday which would be lovely to enjoy during your family break in Dublin.
Ireland’s first theme park, Emerald Park, is located in Kilbrew Co.Meath is a 35-minute drive from our hotel. With 100 attractions, the family will have plenty to keep them entertained all day, from a Zoo to Ireland’s largest wooden roller coaster. Emerald park is very easy to access from Dublin city with public transport by Bus Eireann which takes about 45 minutes from Dublin city to Emerald Park. There is also car parking facilities at the park if you are travelling by car.
Dublin Zoo is about 25-minute's by car from Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge. It is Ireland’s largest family attraction, located in Dublin’s Phoenix Park. The Zoo has an amazing array of animals that the whole family would love to see. Alongside this, there are plenty of playgrounds and amenities there to keep everyone entertained.
